THE AUDITION PROCESS

YOU CAN DO IT

Our auditions are open to everyone, informal and friendly.  We know it can be a nail-biting experience and aim to create a relaxed, welcoming environment. No panels of judges, just encouraging smiles.

“You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face… You must do the thing you think you cannot do.”

Eleanor Roosevelt

SPAT Music

Your invitation to join the orchestra!

The Northern Illawarra needs a community orchestra, so SPAT is forming one!

We are now looking for wind, percussion and string musicians.

The aim of this group is to get together for a few rehearsals and then perform at a semi-annual outdoor evening of music, a relaxed family event where the audience can sit on picnic blankets, eat and enjoy some lovely instrumental music.

The evening will also allow time for a few featured performers to play. So dust off that old tuba or flute and come have a play!

  • Our next performance will be on Saturday, 23 Feb 2019 in the late afternoon at our new outdoor stage in the grounds of the CWA Hall Stanwell Park.
  • Initial rehearsals will be  24 Nov / 01 Dec and 8 Dec at 15 Gardiner Place Helensburgh from 2pm to 4pm  other rehearsal schedules over the Christmas and New Year period can be agreed by the orchestra members
